This Caledonia Edradour is a special single cask release, selected by songwriter Douglas Maclean and named after his famous song, Caledonia. The cask was an Oloroso sherry cask, distilled in 1997. This whisky has "plump, fruity nose, featuring figs, sultanas and a hint of cloves. The addition of water gives the nose higher, more citric fruit notes. Rich and full-bodied in the mouth, nutty and orangey, with plenty of attractive spice and a slowly drying, well balanced finish."
