First time Grouse buyer here. Usually stick to Ballentines/Jameson/JW/Whyte & Mackay for budget blends. 1st dram straight up was crap. Mineral taste and thin on the palette with a huge burn. 2nd one I drowned in ice and it was like biscuit flavored water. 3rd to 10th were drunk straight after the palette had died and it made no difference with ice or water. Whisky score : 2/5. Hangover score : 2.5/5. Would be my last option in the sub $40/l scotch category.
