Aging this Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc in French oak has imparted a beautiful golden colour. With an initial bouquet of gentle floral notes it opens up to feature herbal characters reminiscent of summer meadows.
The palate features Sauvignon Blanc's classical lemon aromas intertwined with herbal notes, which we love about this variety, but in a more integrated and much softer tone. Silky with a mellow acidity it is slightly zingy with a hint of goose-berry and subtle oak notes it leads to a refreshingly mineral finish.
This expressive wine is easily matched with seafood, fish, salsa and salads. It will keep for a good number of years, so there is no rush.
