Old Pulteney 13YO 1000ml
Only
$136.00
Commercial Description
Matured for 13 years, this single malt combines sweetness and spice with the classic coastal notes that Old Pulteney is renowned for.
Our Distillery Manager, Malcolm Waring, hand-selects American and Spanish oak casks to achieve the delicious flavour profile of this whisky. Distilled and matured by the sea, the coastal air surrounding our distillery gives this whisky a delicious, salted caramel flavour.
Being distilled and matured by the sea coupled with meticulous cask selection creates a distinctive flavour, setting it apart from other single-malt Scotch whiskies. With traditional warehouses exposed to the invigorating sea air blowing in off the North Sea, Old Pulteney captures the taste of the sea in every drop of its liquid gold; from subtle coastal chords to more defined salty notes.
Colour: Amber with lighter copper hues
Nose: Rich with deep sweetness. Notes of caramelised apple, warm custard and cinnamon spiced pastries. Towards the end, we see fresh rye bread with bright orange citrus, stone fruits and delicate oak dryness.
Flavour: Deep sweetness and spice. Toffee, nutmeg and caramelised popcorn envelop the palate and continue to develop into rich blossom honey, roasted almonds and creamy vanilla.
Finish: Spices and honey linger on with a welcome tannic dryness in the form of dried fruits.
Alc 43%
