Commercial Description
The 1928 Block of Shiraz is one of the earliest plantings at our Calliope Vineyard. This block is dry grown and cane pruned, resulting in a yield of exceptionally high quality fruit which is showcased in this wine.
Nose: Black berries, blood plums and savoury notes.
Palate: Concentrated dark fruits, chocolate and spices, with a hint of vanilla bean.
Food Match: Eat it with beef, rare on the BBQ, sliced thinly in an Asian\ salad or long slow roasted in the slow cooker. Open the bottle and let it breathe and savour the intensity of flavour in each glass.
