Sourced from a number of vineyards in Limestone Coast across a number of micro-climates ? providing a good blend of expressive fruit, structure and high note aromatics. Primarily machine picked before vinification in a combination of small and large open fermenters. The majority of the blend is matured in stainless steel with a component aged in new and one-year old French oak.
Tasting Note: Aromatics of rich blackberry fruits and spice, lifted with perfume. The palate is deep with black currant, and mulberry, subtle oak provides a hint of chocolate and nutmeg. Chalky varietal tannins give classical framework and weight to the wine which finishes with integrated fruit and oak driving a long finish. Perfect with Roast leg of lamb and Dutch carrots.
