New to the hobby, but loving it so far, this is a really nice whiskey to have in my bar. Easy sippin, with a nice clear ice cube or in an Old Fashioned...
Hey, this is way better than the price would suggest. Grab a bottle if you're a bourbon fan.
I'm not a huge fan of bourbon because most of the good stuff is over 60 bucks and the "cheap" ones are harsh. This is however, decent quality compared to the other offerings in the $40 range. Complex nose and taste that masks the heavy alcohol/turpentine undertones.
I drink this neat. Old Forester branded bourbon is often rated highly so I decided to try this and was pleasantly surprised. This is a good solid bourbon with all the classic flavours. It has a full fruity, vanilla flavour with oak and spice notes. There would be very few better bourbons at this price point. Excellent value for money.
I'm relatively new to bourbon, and I had been seeing a lot of bourbon drinkers rating Old Forester, but I could never find the exact bottles they were rating as the videos I was watching were from the US. Oneday at my local bottle store I decided to get this because I wanted something a little cheaper, but still good quality and I had a bit of trust in the name. I got a bottle of this, and it didn't disapoint. I didnt know what to expect, but I was surprised for sure. Now I know what to get if I'm a bit strapped for $$. Sweet, fruity and smooth on the pallet, with a very small spicy nip on the finish. Easy
