JOHANNESHOF Methode Traditionnelle NEW DAWN ROSÉ Brut 2011 is named after a pale pink rose in our courtyard. NEW DAWN displays a beautiful salmon pink colour with a very fine mousse and persistent effervescence. The distinctive fragrance of strawberry and peach is flinty with subtle hints of crab apple, followed by toasty brioche notes, a result of its extended time on lees. This crisp rosé is full bodied and its multi-layered palate harmoniously entwines fruitiness with delicate yeasty, nutty autolysis notes. Ten years on lees are unusually long and result in this extraordinary wine’s perfect satin texture and fine, lengthy finish and effervescence.
