The whisky bearing the name has been crafted to be as striking as The Paps themselves. This Jura 19-year-old single malt whisky is initially matured in American White Oak ex bourbon barrels before being finished in casks that have previously held an astonishing 40 year old Pedro Ximenez sherry. Rich, sweet and spicy, this whisky delivers flavours of ginger cake, vanilla, spiced pear and balsamic glaze, before a long, nutty finish.

Best 19yr old Single Malt there is

But then I don't know of any other 19yr old single malts! Seriously though this is a very nice single malt. Each pour I take, it gets better and better, and so it should as it gets more time to breathe in the bottle. The nose is not particularly spectacular. Nice coffee notes, with the vanilla from the burbon barrels coming through almost as an after thought. It definitely benifits from leaving in the glass for at least 15 minutes before you sip. I have found neat to be best, and more than a few drops of water it seems to be a bit too thin for my liking.
