Once again, Mark Reynier offers a successful, precise and complex expression for this Single Farm Origin signed Waterford. For this bottling, the Irish terroir is obviously always in the spotlight and the barley used for this Single Malt was grown in 2015 on the very fertile and clayey soil of the Broomlands farm, dating from the 18th century, in County Wexford, which benefits from an unchanging climate. These unique conditions give us this whisky, particularly marked by the spices and malty flavours of barley. The pastry notes dominate, with aromas of ripe fruit and chocolate.
Nose: fruity and pastry. Salted butter caramel, dark and fondant chocolate, apricot jam, citrus zest, green apple, farm and cereal notes.
Palate: intense and unctuous Sweet spices, lemon sorbet, malty notes.
Finish: delicate, very dry, the finish nevertheless lingers on the spicy notes.
